ChocZero S’mallows

I’ve come across a few keto-friendly marshmallows over the years, but none of them have ever been quite right… They weren’t the right consistency, they melted into a goo instead of fluff or toasting, or they didn’t taste quite right. No more! ChocZero has recently introduced “S’mallows“, a damn-near-perfect low-carb marshmallow.

They taste right. They feel right. They melt correctly. They actually toast like a real marshmallow. For all intents and purposes, they’re *real* marshmallows.

At 21g carbs per serving, you might think that’s a lot, however with 20g of dietary fiber per serving, that results in just 1g net carbs per serving. It doesn’t get much better than that. Sweetened with natural vanilla flavor and monk fruit extract, there’s also no sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners.

You thought this possibly couldn’t get better? They also come in mini-form and even freeze-dried form!

The mini S’mallows are perfect for topping off some hot chocolate and the freeze-dried S’mallows are perfect for adding to some of the previously-featured Magic Spoon Cereal. I especially like them with the frosted and fruity flavor cereals.

If you’ve, like me, been waiting a very long time for a keto-friendly marshmallow, your wait is over. I’ve tried using these in every possible way I could think of to use a marshmallow, and they have performed spectacularly. Highly recommended!

Diabetic Kitchen Gourmet Chocolate Brownie Mix

91an-nckzpl-_sy355_One of my favorite sweet treats are brownies.  And I don’t mean fluffy chocolate cake taking the form of a little square, I mean dense, chewy, fudgey brownies.  I have tried countless low-carb, diabetic, and sugar-free brownie mixes and have been sorely disappointed… until now.  They still are not quite the consistency of a real brownie made with sugar, however the Gourmet Chocolate Brownie Mix from Diabetic Kitchen produces the closest approximation that I’ve found by a pretty wide margin.

ChocZero

logo2xFor a very long time I was in search of a low-sugar or sugar-free chocolate that didn’t taste… off.  That wasn’t gritty in the mouth.  That actually tasted and felt like chocolate.  I tried various big candy brands’ sugar-free options but these mostly used sugar alcohols so I was unable to eat more than a piece or two at a time (see my article on sugar alcohols for why).  Then I found ChocZero and my ketogenic life changed forever.
